Honoring Sgt. Scott Kirkpatrick

Sgt. Scott Kirkpatrick was killed in Iraq on August 11, 2007 at the age of 26. Before he died, this amazing young man requested that if something were to happen to him that his wife Christy and parents, Ed and Marti, should select a charity that helps the wounded soldiers at Walter Reed and their families. The family chose the Yellow Ribbon Fund, and the parents have been asking people to make donations to us ever since.

Several weeks ago a childhood friends of Scott's - Sean Logan - along with friend Linda Bernstein and cousin Suzy Quintavalle - organized a fundraiser for friends and family at Mick O'Shea's Irish Pub in Baltimore on Friday, March 7th. The Irish band Rossnareen added authentic Irish music and vibrant energy. More than 250 family and friends attended to honor Scott's memory and support the Yellow Ribbon Fund.
