UFC Fighters Visit Walter Reed Warriors

The president and one of the top contenders from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) visited wounded servicemen and women at Walter Reed Army Medical Center on April 20.

Dana White, president of the UFC, and Forrest Griffin, the #1 contender in the light heavyweight division, highlighted a visit to the bedsides of patients at the hospital and then an open reception at Mologne House. Accompanying them were two surprise guests and UFC fans: former Major League Baseball player Marty Cordova and singer/actress Mandy Moore.

The visitors took time to sit with each patient, meet with their family members and learn more about the recovery process of each patient. UFC provided hats, t-shirts and DVDs for the servicemen and women.
